Meth Lab Remediation
A cook leaves residue in the countertops, the drains, the HVAC, the soil and sometimes the well. Getting the property released means testing all of it, not cleaning the visible part.

Licensed & certified
Summary
All Island Bio-Recovery offers comprehensive services for assessing the impact caused by a clandestine methamphetamine lab and performing the decontamination work required to restore a property to habitable condition.
Decontamination without documentation is not much use to you. At the conclusion of any project the client receives a complete report of all completed activities, which is typically forwarded to the overseeing regulatory agency so the property can be released.
Indoor evaluation
Visual inspection
A complete walk-through of the dwelling noting unusual odours, staining and residues.
Air testing
Volatile chemicals checked with a photoionisation detector. Ambient air in every room and every disposal drain is sampled.
Corrosive testing
Checking for corrosive residues, typically at countertop preparation areas, sewer drains and any visible staining.
Methamphetamine testing
Wipe samples collected and submitted to a qualified laboratory for analysis.
Documentation
Photographs of sampling activity and laboratory data compiled into a summary report with conclusions and recommendations.
How the job runs
- 01Outdoor visual inspectionA walk of the immediate property looking for signs of burial, burning or dumping of waste.
- 02Field screeningSoil or ash samples screened for volatile compounds by PID head-space technique, and for corrosive properties based on pH.
- 03Water and septic samplingFor properties on a drinking water well where groundwater may be at risk, a tap sample analysed for volatile organic contaminants under EPA method 8260. Soil and septic tank samples analysed the same way.
- 04Decontamination planScope written from the laboratory results rather than from assumption, and agreed with the overseeing agency where one is involved.
- 05DecontaminationWe provide the labour, equipment and technical expertise to ensure all decontamination activities are completed correctly.

On cost
Most of this work is commissioned by property owners, landlords and estate agents who need a property releasable rather than merely clean. Where a tenancy or purchase is waiting on it, tell us at the first call, because the sequence of testing changes.
Out of pocket, most jobs
$0
Most people we work for pay nothing out of pocket.
Most of our services, crime scene cleanup included, are covered by homeowners insurance. Where a crime has been committed, remediation for eligible victims and their families may be covered by the New York State Office of Victim Services. We work with the carrier directly.
The assessment is free and it happens before any work is agreed. You get a written scope, and you get told honestly which route applies, including when the answer is that nothing here is claimable.
After a tragedy you should not be left with the aftermath of a tragedy and a bill. That has been this company's position since it started.
